It looks like John Cena will be adding to his acting resume. The WWE wrestler turned actor has become an up and coming star in Hollywood and Paramount Pictures might want to get involved. Variety news reports that Cena is in talks to star in the family comedy ‘Playing with Fire.’
Todd Garner & Sean Robbins of Broken Road Productions are set to produce the story that revolves around a group of rugged wildfire firefighters who meet their match when they rescue a trio of rambunctious children.
Cena has had his fair share of roles in the movies. From his earlier days when he was the ex-marine in ’12 Rounds’ and funny enough ‘The Marine’, to 2018 where he’s in box-office comedies like ‘Blockers’ which made a $94 million run at the box office worldwide. He’s also going to be in the ‘Transformers’ spinoff ‘Bumblebee’ which is set to release in December.
That’s not it. He’s set to the star alongside WWE alumni and box office phenom Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson in ‘The Janson Detective’ and will be a voice actor in Universal’s fantasy adventure ‘The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle’.
I’m personally a fan of Cena and his acting. Whether he’s doing the 5 Knuckle shuffle in the ring or he’s throwing people off balconies in action movies, I’m here for it.
