Michigan men’s basketball head coach John Beilein has announced through his twitter page that he will remain in his role for the foreseeable future.
I love the University of Michigan and I am excited about coaching our Men’s Basketball Team next season and in the years to come ! Let’s go hang some more banners at “THE GREATEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD “#GoBlue

Beilein had been gaining interest from the Detroit Pistons for their head coach position, but it appears as if those talks have ceased.
Beilein has been nothing short of magnificent in his decade-long tenure with Michigan, particularly in the past five seasons. He has coached the Wolverines to back-to-back Big 10 tournament Championships as well as two National Championship appearances in 2013 and 2018; albeit losses to Louisville and Villanova in those games.
The progression of the Michigan men’s basketball program continues to reach new heights with Beilein’s return as they look to dominate the Big 10 again next season after falling just short last season.
