Joel Kinnaman has officially been cast in the upcoming DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad.
Kinnaman will be joining Will Smith, Jai Courtney, and Harley Quinn in the action hero movie.
Kinnaman is rumored to play Suicide Squad leader Rick Flag, after Tom Hardy dropped from the film.
In a recent interview with Allocine, he said:
“I can’t reveal about the movie, but all i can say is that I will be in the movie, and it’s going to be amazing.
Rick Flag made his debut in the pages of DC Comics in 1959 as a special forces expert whose father led the first incarnation of the Suicide Squad in World War II.
Suicide Squad also features Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, while Jared Leto has been cast as the Joker.
The movie opens up on August 5, 2016.
