Oh yes we are back with some spontaneous Joel Embiid news! You nearly forgot about him didn’t you?
I nearly did anyways because I’m really trying hard not to notice the dumpster fire that is the Philadelphia 76ers. I hate seeing such talent go to waste because one GM doesn’t know what the hell he is doing anymore.
But one thing I can’t blame him for is Joel Embiid, specifically his right foot which has kept him out since he was drafted. Checking in with Embiid, he is still rehabilitating from his surgery done last year and is actually off to Qatar to continue rehab.
Embiid left Philadelphia this week and will spend the next several weeks at Aspetar, an orthopedic and sports medicine hospital located in Doha, Qatar. He had a lot of success there, and the team wanted to send him back for more treatment, according to a source.
Aspetar is a world-renowned facility, which serves as the official sports medicine partner of the French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain.
Can you believe it’s nearly been two years? Two years and he hasn’t had an NBA game yet.
I wonder how he’ll be when he is up for a new contract. What can he even say he hasn’t done anything yet.
I loved him in Kansas, I hope he’s still good and I hope this injury hasn’t made him too rusty.
