Joel Embiid was drafted in 2014, but has yet to play a single NBA game. Despite that, he has built a reputation as one of the funniest players in the NBA, as well as one of the league’s best Twitter follows. Given this reputation, it is unsurprising that Embiid gave some of the most entertaining, interesting, and hilarious quotes at the Philadelphia 76ers’ media day on Monday. Embiid is scheduled to play for the first time since college in the Sixers’ opening preseason game vs. the Boston Celtics. Despite his inability to get on the court, he has no doubt that he will have a long career:

Embiid also believes that his capabilities extend beyond the center position. And no, he wasn’t talking about playing the 4:
Embiid: "If somebody teaches me the point guard position, I feel like I'd be able to (play it)."

And you thought Giannis Antetokounmpo running the point at 6’11” was abnormal. Embiid’s around 7’2″.
In his lone season playing basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, Embiid played in 28 of the team’s 35 games, averaging 11.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per games. Embiid watches his own college highlights. Not just every now and then, but every day:
Joel Embiid says he watches his own college YouTube highlights every single day

Despite the fact that he watches his own college highlights (again: every day), Embiid says that he can’t watch college ball:
Embiid says he can't watch college basketball anymore because now that he's in the NBA, "they don't know how to play."

Embiid was a pretty incredible talent to watch in college, and he claims that he’s gotten much better since then:
#Sixers Embiid: 'I don't know why but my game has gotten so much better in the past 2 years. I'm not the same guy.' #NBA

Last but certainly not least, Embiid still trusts the process:
While walking away from the mic, Joel Embiid drops "trust the process", then exits the press conference.

Legendary. I would give my life for Joel Embiid.
