Joel Embiid, the lovable 76ers center, has had to endure and trust the process more than any fan of the team ever has. Since being drafted in the 2014 NBA draft, Embiid has played a total of 894 minutes in the league per NBA Stats. Missing as much time as the Kansas product would sour any young prospect on the idea of ever playing in the league. Embiid has seemingly been in high spirits in the face of adversity.
He also looks to be enjoying in his time on the court.
One caveat to the 7-footer has been back in action; he has played within the confines of a minutes restriction. He isn’t a fan of the limits. Fans, however, are more worried about Embiid’s injury history more than he is.

In a game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, Embiid took a hard fall after going up for a block on James Harden shot attempt. The fans at the Wells Fargo Center did not receive the fall well. After Embiid got to his feet, unscathed, the fans were able to relax.
All the while, Embiid was still focused on the game, which still hung in the balance.

In the four games that Embiid participated in so far, this season, he has shown flashes of his brilliance. Fans should be encouraged by the fact that the injury-battled Embiid isn’t’ constantly plagued by the thoughts of injury.
If he genuinely wants to get acclimated to being on the court, Embiid should avoid focusing on injury management. Players often speak about the court acting as a sanctuary of sorts; it looks as if that is true for Embiid.
