In a series with no shortage of electrifying young players able to shift momentum almost instantaneously, the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics, surprisingly, hadn’t manufactured many highlight plays yet.
This all changed during Game 3 of the series in Philadelphia where Joel Embiid decided to put on a late second quarter show for his home crowd. Down by double figures at one point, the Sixers reeled off a run in which they took the lead with a thunderous and-one slam Embiid powered down right over Aron Baynes. You can watch the play below.

At a juncture like this with the score almost even and momentum hanging in the balance, this was the perfect time for Joel Embiid to soar over the helpless Aron Baynes. An injection of energy from one of their best players is exactly what the Sixers currently need to win a pivotal Game 3 and fight out of this precarious 2-0 hole.
A dunk this breathtaking not only looks incredible on video but the pictures from different angles are just as impressive as well.

With a three-point lead heading into the halftime break, hopefully the Sixers are able to carry over the energy they gained from Embiid’s performance and turn this back into a competitive series with Game 4 also looming in Philly.
