The Atlanta Hawks have traded Joe Johnson to the Brooklyn Nets in what amounts to a salary dump for the franchise. Johnson, who still has 4-years, and $90 million, remaining on his deal will hopefully join Deron Williams in the Brooklyn backcourt once the Barclays Center opens later in the year.
The Nets will send the Hawks the expiring contracts of Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Anthony Morrow, Jordan Williams and DeShawn Stevenson (in a sign-and-trade) and a future first-round pick (lottery-protected in 2013 via Houston) to Atlanta in exchange for Johnson.

This is a good trade for the Brooklyn Nets. This backcourt will give opposing defense’s real problems. The Brooklyn Nets will make a run for. The NBA world title very soon. But they will have to face the Philadelphia 76ers. Let’s Go Sixers. Let’s Go Sixers. Let’s Go Sixers. Sixers All The Way Baby. 2012-2013 season watch out Eastern Conference. We are going to the NBA Finals player. No other team will stop us.
