The Brooklyn Nets Guard Deron Williams has been disappointing this season and in the first round of Playoffs against the Atlanta Hawks. A couple of years ago, Williams was traded in hopes to revitalize the New Jersey/ Brooklyn Nets, but has turned out the complete opposite. Joe Johnson tells us that his struggles have all been due to injures.
According to Mike Mazzeo of ESPN:
“At different times in the season we all have knickknack or injuries. I know tendinitis has pretty much been my kryptonite, and I know he has a severe case of that,” Johnson said. “It’s tough, man. It’s tough. But we all have his back, and whatever we have to do, we have to do it.”
That doesn’t sound like good news for the Brooklyn Nets who are trying to even up the series against the Atlanta Hawks in Brooklyn in Game 4. Realistically the Brooklyn Nets are lucky to even be in the Playoffs, but they might as well enjoy it because they’re future in not pretty, With ownership and coaching issues and no lottery picks and expiring contracts, the Nets don’t look too good, and Williams is a major reason for it.
