The state of Massachusetts has produced some of the most interesting news of Super Tuesday thus far. Both Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bloomberg are climbing to stake their claim in this race and both have ties to the state. Warren is currently an elected official in the state of Massachusetts and has taught at Harvard. Despite being tied to the state of New York, Bloomberg was born in the state of Massachusetts. Unfortunately for them, their ties have not brought voters to their respective corners. Instead, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have emerged as the top candidates in the state.

Joe Biden is projected as the winner of the Massachusetts Democratic Primary. The former Vice President will now force forward to 163 delegates in the hunt for the party’s nomination. It will stand as one of Biden’s biggest accomplishments during this election cycle. He spent less than any of the five major candidates in the state. Still, he emerged victorious.
These results come in just moments before the polls in California close. In terms of the ultimate delegate count, the state’s 415 delegates will play a major role in how this race moves forward on the democratic end of things.
