Former Vice President and Senator Kamala Harris have reportedly tested negative for COVID-19.
“I’m happy to report that Jill and I have tested negative for COVID. Thank you to everyone for your messages of concern,” Biden tweeted.
“I hope this serves as a reminder: wear a mask, keep social distance, and wash your hands,” the former Vice President added.
Harris and Biden’s announcement comes as the White House is experiencing a potential outbreak among top officials. Over the weekend, President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Senior Advisor Kellyanne Conway and top aide Hope Hicks tested positive for the virus. The President was admitted to Walter Reed National Hospital on Friday after experiencing “mild” symptoms.
“We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family,” Biden stated.
“Doug and I join Joe Biden and Dr. Biden in wishing President Trump and the First Lady a full and speedy recovery. We’re keeping them and the entire Trump family in our thoughts,” Harris added.
The President has told members of his team that his health is improving and that he hopes to be released from medical care on Monday.
