The Detroit Pistons suffered from a significant injury on the second night of the NBA season. According to Keith Langlois of Pistons.com, shooting guard Jodie Meeks suffered a broken foot in Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz.
Meeks has a Jones fracture of his foot .. Bullock going to get more chances now. No timetable on recovery yet

As mentioned by Langlois, there is no timetable for Meeks’ return but it may be important to note that it is the same injury that wiped out Kevin Durant’s season last year.
Meeks is not one of the better players on the Pistons, but he is a fairly important part of the roster. As part of a Stan van Gundy led roster, his shooting around Andre Drummond dives to the rim is necessary. Nevertheless, the injury will give an opportunity to other Pistons players, such as Reggie Bullock, to get minutes and contribute. The Pistons will be vying for a playoff spot this season, having started the new year at 2-0, so they will need to get contributions from everyone in order to have the success they are looking for.
Our thoughts are with Jodie Meeks as he recovers from his injury.
