And the injury bug gains it’s patient zero to the 2015-16 season. It’s a shame to be the player that gets injured as soon as the season comes. All that waiting, all that training to then undergo surgery. That’s heartbreaking and if I was Jodie I’d be miffed. So I go out when games actually mean something?! Just my luck.
But don’t mind me, he’s the professional athlete and pros do not think about set backs like that. No moaning, just allow it and work towards getting back. Meeks will return this season, he just has to wait for 12-16 weeks.
The Detroit Pistons announced today that guard Jodie Meeks underwent a surgical procedure last evening to repair a non-displaced fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot.
Meeks is expected to miss the next 12-16 weeks and will be re-evaluated throughout the rehabilitation process.
The Pistons will lose a outside shooter, hoping that Brandon Jennings can come back to plug the hole. But the Pistons are reasonably deep, the next man up will probably be Reggie Bullock who can’t shoot but is good on the defensive end. So that’s a plus I guess. It’s not like they lack on offensive output.
