The Chicago Bulls have been so up and down this season it’s making me ill. Their roller-coaster season has had NBA analysts scratching their head all season. Even though they’re in a comfortable Playoff position. The Bulls organisation are supposedly screwing Tom Thibodeau. The players have shown their confidence in Thibodeau despite reports that they’re tuning him out.
Joakim Noah is taking this break to reflect on his play this season. And according to ESPN Chicago, he thinks he need to step it up.
“We’ve been really playing pretty s—-y basketball lately,” Noah acknowledged after Thursday night’s 113-98 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. “So just to get a good quality win … I think it was important for us.”
Joakim Noah is excited about how good he’s feeling physically but says he has “another gear to get to.”
After all the admitted ups and downs of a season that has been tainted by the aftereffects of last May’s knee surgery, Noah’s best stretch of the season continued Thursday as he posted one of his best games. Noah racked up 10 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists against the Cavs.“I still feel like I got another gear to get to,” Noah said. “It’s just been up and down, man, so I just have to stay patient, but I’m excited though. I’m feeling better and better, and I just got to keep working.“
If the Chicago Bulls carry on playing like they did against the Cavaliers. They’ll be fine. But I can’t forget the mediocre start of this year.
Noah knows. He needs to kick it up a notch and so do the whole Bulls squad.
