The Ravens defense will have to play the remainder of their season without their best corner. Jimmy Smith has officially been ruled out for the rest of the season with a left Achilles injury.
No surprise but Ravens CB Jimmy Smith out for the season with torn Achilles, per source.

Smith was carried off the field in the second quarter after falling to the ground without contact. The Ravens would go on to beat the brakes off the Lions winning 44-20.
The loss of Smith is a huge blow to a Ravens team that is in the thick of the playoff hunt. At 7-5 the Ravens are currently in place to take a wild card spot but, with the Bills at 6-6 the Chargers, Bengals, Raiders, and Jets all at 5-6 nothing is set in stone.
Rookie Marlon Humphries replaced Smith in the game and would likely do so for the rest of the season. Smith had a league leading 37 passer rating against passes thrown his way. He’ll end 2017 with 26 tackles, 3 picks, and a touchdown.
