An Olympic athlete doesn’t seem like the type to be afraid of something as simple as water, but that is exactly what Jimmy Butler is. While in Rio, team USA is staying on a cruise ship instead of living in the Olympic Village, but Butler isn’t very fond of his temporary living arrangements.

Jimmy has even requested that his room doesn’t face the water! Draymond Green on SI.com:
“(Jimmy) don’t want to be near the water. He doesn’t want his room facing the water. Nothing. It’s incredible to me.”
DeAndre Jordan:
“Jimmy Butler doesn’t like water. So we were talking about, ‘Would you jump off the boat or would you get in?’ [He says,] ‘No and don’t play with me about it.’ He definitely does not like the water at all.”
Jimmy is a very funny guy, and team USA seems like they have a lot of fun together. I can only imagine how much the team is joking around with him about his aquaphobia. Quite frankly, Butler being afraid of water is one of the funniest things so far about Team USA. It is up there with DeMarcus Cousins joking with Draymond Green about his recent NSFW picture.
