Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler were named Players Of The Month Of November. They both deserved it. Jimmy Butler is playing out of his mind, and wins the award for most improved player so far this season. He’s been incredible averaging 21.9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists, not to mention the 1.5 steals and being the leading scorer for the Chicago Bulls even in the company of Derrick Rose, Pau Gasol, and Joakim Noah. Stephen Curry has exploded this season as well, becoming arguably the best point-guard in the NBA, averaging 23.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.4 steals.
Jimmy Butler has already won the most improved player of the year award, give it to him. He’s been impressive and recently rejecting the Chicago Bulls 4 year $40 million dollar extension, he knows what he can bring to the table. Once a player who was only known for being a defensive stopper, has shown signs of offensive awareness. Can he be what pulls together the Chicago Bulls and win them a championship? I think he will play a big part in it.
Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have been extremely fun to watch this season. With Steve Kerr manning the ship with Stephen Curry, they have been riding a 10 game winning streak. With Stephen Curry exploding this season, can he lead them to more playoff prominence? Yes. The answer is only yes.
