We now have more Jimmy Butler rumors to discuss.
Reportedly, the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Phoenix Suns are all in talks with Chicago to trade for their franchise player. But, since the 76ers traded for the number one pick, they are now out of the equation.
RealGM reported on June 19 that Boston is trying to trade the number three overall pick to acquire Butler. Originally, the 76ers were trying to obtain Butler by trading the third overall selection, and now the Celtics are attempting the same maneuver.
With the Celtics owning the third overall pick now, they are hopeful of trading it to the Bulls in a package for Butler and then sign Gordon Hayward in free agency while also keeping Isaiah Thomas and Marcus Smart.
Boston fans should be excited about these rumors, because if they’re true, then Danny Ainge, Boston’s general manager, is preparing for a run at the Finals next season. But, the Celtics are not a shoo-in to win Butler.
ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that the Cavaliers are now in serious trade talks for Jimmy Butler.
The Cavaliers, per league sources, have been working today on assembling multi-team trade scenarios to try to acquire Chicago's Jimmy Butler

The only problem is that the Cavs do not have the necessary cap space to make the trade work, and this is where the Phoenix Suns come into play.

Things are starting to get interesting for Butler. He will likely be in a new uniform by the start of the 2017-18 season. But, the Bulls need to be careful how they go about trading Butler. If they wait too long, the offers could disappear. When the perfect offer presents itself, take the deal and start the rebuilding process.
