Oh Fred Hoiberg, you should’ve stayed in Iowa State to be honest, because this is getting sketchy by the day. I mean it would be fine if it there were hubbub about a franchise player and a bench player. But Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose?! That’s the worst possible fued you can have in the Chicago Bulls team. Rose is the spiritual leader, but Butler is looking to be the actual leade. You know, the “I lead in every team stat” leader? Yes, Butler is trying to be that. But these stories are getting very testy now. Here’s some juicy news from Joe Crowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
It was provided Wednesday, as a former member of the Bulls said in a phone interview, “Personally, the two are great. Professionally is where they have a difference of opinion.”
According to the source, Butler considers Rose a friend, but “doesn’t have a lot of respect for his work ethic.’’ In Butler’s mind, Rose was considered the face of the franchise, and if the face of the franchise wasn’t busting his butt in practice every day, especially last season, what was the message to the rest of the team?
As I said. Fred Hoiberg, good luck man, because these stories are rising more and more frequently. And I don’t think these are popping out of thin air. This will not end well.
