Jimmer Fredette. Just one of those college gems that just has not found a place in the pros. It’s a shame no doubt, I mean how fun is it to shout “JIMMER” constantly? I love watching those videos back when he was in College and the commentator literally lose it because he dropped a bomb 10 feet away from the three-point line. Imagine if he was like that in the NBA, Stephen who?
Alright let me catch myself there. That was a little OTT but you know what I mean, there’s nothing cooler than watching a shooter on fire. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen “College Jimmer” in the pros, but maybe working with Chauncey Billups will be a step in the right direction? Couldn’t hurt.
What did you take away from working with Chauncey Billups this summer?
Fredette: That was awesome. Chauncey is such a great guy. I was grateful that he took the time to come out and to help me work on some different things. Mainly little things he’s learned throughout his career that could just help me that much more to help my career overall.
How did that come about? Did he reach out or did you?
Fredette: I live and work out in Denver in the offseason. He reached out to me and said that anytime you want to come over to my gym, I would be willing to help you out. So I pounced on it of course. Just the opportunity to learn from one of the best was awesome.
Now Fredette is currently with the San Antonio Spurs, the best system in the league, taking any player and making them feel worthy. Can Fredette find a home in San Antonio?
