It’s been a little minute since we’ve heard any new music from New York artist Jimi Tents. After the release of his highly praised LP I Can’t Go Home, the Brooklyn native disappeared and hasn’t released much music since then. A year later, the Vate Row emcee has returned with a new Mike Hector-produced single “Backbone.”
The single starts off with Jimi Tents wasting no time as he begins to spit aggressive, passionate lyrics over the bass-heavy production giving us a message that all people grinding to make things happen for themselves need to hear.
