Well, Bill and Ted-heads were already having a pretty good week. Bill and Ted Face the Music began production on Monday and more plot and casting details have begun to emerge. A growing cast of comedic powerhouses and an expectedly goofy premise has set up the perfect capper to this decades-long trilogy. And now, you can add ANOTHER heavy hitter to the already stacked cast as Jillian Bell was added to the call sheet on Wednesday.
Bell will reportedly play a therapist in the film, which will follow a much older Bill and Ted. They’ve now got families and children of their own after putting their rock n roll dreams on hold. However, now a visitor from the future carries a terrifying vision of humanity. That causes the friends to jump back into action because, obviously, their song is the only thing that will save the universe and bring peace to the cosmos.
Anthony Carrigan was recently cast in an unspecified antagonistic role. Hopefully, he’s playing the son of William Sadler’s Death (who’s set to reprise his role in the film). The cast is rounded out by Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Kid Cudi, Beck Bennett, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Amy Stoch, and Hal Landon Jr.
Bill and Ted Face the Music hits theaters August 21st, 2020.
