For some time now, JID fans have been wondering when the Atlanta native would return with a new project. He last delivered DiCaprio 2 in November 2018. Since then, he’s kept fans satisfied with guest appearances on Revenge of the Dreamers III, a Spillage Village album and singles like “Baguetti” with Smino and Kenny Beats. In 2021, it appears that he’s back working on solo material.
Starting off the year, the Dreamville signee dropped “Cludder,” “Ballads” and “Bruuuh.” Keeping the ball rolling, he’s dropped off the “Bruuuh” remix with Denzel Curry. Over the menacing production from Willie B, the two southern rappers seemingly float through the track as they go bar for bar.
“Headshots too personal for a burglary, ooh/Red dots cause killers could close curtains me/I done did wrong, someone send me up vertically/Horizontally, read me a passage from Deuteronomy,” J.I.D raps.
“Denzel lusts for blood, I grab the MAC/Made you half a man but not a Sag/Flow is ugly, time to bust a sag/Clint Eastwood, I killed the good and bad/Oh my God, would you look at that? How to kill an ego/J.I.D and Zel, Scorpion to Sub-Zero,” Denzel Curry hops in.
