
Jhené Aiko showcased her angelic voice during the latest edition of NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series. In the latest edition of the popular series, Aiko is joined by Julian Le on the keys, Bubby on bass, Gracie Sprout and Brain Warfield on percussion. Highlighting her versatility and vulnerability, the California native delivered an eight-song set that featured records like “Lotus,” “Born Tired” and “Summer 2020.” Along the way, she delivers tidbits about how some of her best songs came to be.
In its first day, the California singer-songwriter’s performance has earned more than 180,000 views. It also landed the Chilombo singer in the top 20 of the YouTube trending charts.
Aside from Aiko, the NPR Tiny Desk series has been extremely consistent in recent weeks. Over the last few months, the series has featured Roddy Ricch, Alicia Keys, Benny The Butcher and John Legend. More recently, the series has highlighted acts like BTS and Conway The Machine.
