NBC is sharing the first look to its upcoming biblical miniseries A.D.
The new series serves as the follow up to the History Channel’s 2013 The Bible, and focuses on what happened after Jesus was crucified.
The released trailer shows the Romans’ shocked reactions when they realize that Jesus is no longer in the tomb.
A.D. stars Juan Pablo di Pace [Jesus], Aniss Elkohen [Philip], Babou Ceesay [John], Richard Coyle [Caiaphas] and Chipo Chung [Mary Magdalene].
A.D. premieres this Easter [April 5] on NBC.
