The production team behind the hit trivia show, Jeopardy, is still looking for a permanent host to follow the show’s longtime leader, Alex Trebek. In the aftermath of Trebek’s passing, Aaron Rodgers, Savannah Guthrie, Bill Whitaker and several others have served as guest hosts. As the show enters its next phase, it has unveiled its next slate of guest hosts.
NBC has announced that George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts of ABC will guest host episodes of Jeopardy. Joining the Good Morning America anchors, sportscaster Joe Buck, and CNBC’s David Faber will host upcoming episodes of the show. Rounding out the next phase of guest hosts, actor LeVar Burton will host episodes of the show. Burton has become a fan favorite in recent weeks as more than 245,000 fans signed a petition advocating for him to become the show’s next host.
“Our goal has been to present a wide variety of guest hosts with different skill sets and backgrounds on our path to finding a permanent host,” Jeopardy! Executive Producer Mike Richards said.
“Our passionate fans are telling us what they like, and we are listening. All of the guest hosts have brought individualism, energy and an authentic love of our show to each of their episodes. We look forward to sharing the rest of the season with our viewers.”
