
The Phoenix Suns are hiring Jeff Bower as their Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations, per a report from Arizona Sports 98.7 FM‘s John Gambadoro. The reported hiring of Bower follows ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski identifying Bower as a frontrunner to join Phoenix’s front office.

Jeff Bower previously served as General Manager for the New Orleans Hornets and the Detroit Pistons, and will bring some experience to the Suns front office that parted ways with General Manager Ryan McDonough in October, appointing veteran James Jones on an interim basis from the position Bower will now occupy. Bower’s hiring also comes during increased speculation regarding the Suns under the ownership of Robert Sarver.
