The Jazz recently spoke to the NBA with hopes that it could secure Joel Ingles a spot in the annual three-point contest, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.
I've been told that the Jazz have spoken to the NBA in an effort to secure an invite to the 3-point shootout for Joe Ingles

Joe Ingles has been a pleasant surprise for the Jazz this season, transitioning into one of the league’s top three-point shooters. Ingles leads the association in three-point field goal percentage, shooting an insane 46% from behind-the-arc.
While he doesn’t attempt as many shots as other league leaders — Stephen Curry, Eric Gordon, J.J. Redick and others — Ingles has been connecting on an eye-popping rate of his long-range attempts this season.
With the Jazz suffering from various injuries this season, the production Utah has gotten from Ingles has helped them maintain their competitive status out West. They currently hold a 28-16 record, ranked fifth in the conference and seventh in the league.
The annual three-point competition happens over the NBA’s All-Star Weekend, which is scheduled to occur between February 17th and 19th.
Last year, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson won the competition.
