Gordon Hayward will be one of the most sought after free agents this summer. The Utah Jazz forward may not be recognized as one of the top players in the league, but he has quietly become one of the best at his position.
Hayward will hit free agency in July, provided he predictably opts out of his player option, looking to get a max contract. While Utah will be able to offer him the most financially, it’s possible that Hayward looks at other destinations – perhaps ones that offer him more of a spotlight or more of a chance to win big.
Jazz fans, however, are doing their utmost to keep the franchise player in Salt Lake City. One in particular has created a GoFundMe to raise money for a billboard to show Hayward the fans’ appreciation towards him:
Jazz fans, share this like crazy. Let's get this billboard up and convince Hayward to stay in Utah. #TakeNotehttps://t.co/GtrptMTVPo

The “Stayward” campaign has already raised more than $2,800 of its $5,000 goal in one day.
This is a sweet gesture and all, but the last time a prominent free agent was courted with a billboard, he ended up hustling out of the incumbent city. But who knows, maybe Gordon Hayward is a huge fan of puns. In which case, carry on my Hayward son.
