The 2018 NBA Rising Stars Challenge brought out some of the best young stars the NBA has to offer. It was Team World versus Team USA for the fourth year in a row and the United States team was looking to even the new series setup. Unfortunately for them, a pair of Sacramento Kings had other plans. But Team USA had Boston Celtics wingman Jaylen Brown doing all he could to help his squad.
Brown got the start and played alongside fellow young Celtics wing Jayson Tatum and a Los Angeles Lakers duo of Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram. Brown led the way scoring 35 points on 14-21 shooting with 10 rebounds while Kuzma scored 20, Tatum dropped 15 and Ingram registered eight points. All eyes were without a doubt on Brown for Team USA.
Check out some of the best highlights from Brown’s night including a whole host of dunks that has people wondering if he’ll be the next entrant in the NBA’s slam dunk contest.
Team World beat Team USA 155-124 at the end of the day. It was the third time in the last four years in which Team World defeated Team USA. Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Sacramento Kings won the MVP of the game.
