Jay-Z is taking his Roc Nation label over to Universal Music Group in a new record deal for an undisclosed amount of money. This comes a week after he started his sports agency facet Roc Nation Sports. UMG will now have the rights to release Jay’s upcoming new solo album.
Universal Chief Executive Lucian Grainge said Roc Nation has swiftly become “one of the most successful brands in music with a reputation for developing some of today¹s most influential and popular talent.”
