Stanley Johnson has yet to sign with an agency to represent him on his path to the NBA. RealGM is reporting that Jay-Z is the leading recruiter to try to sign the 6’7 forward to his Roc Nation Sports agency.
Johnson is projected to be one of the top picks in this summer’s NBA Draft after averaging 13.8 points and just under seven rebounds per game during his freshmen season at Arizona.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, founded Roc Nation Sports in 2013. Roc Nation is still working its way up in the basketball ranks, as they represent Kevin Duarnt, Wilson Chandler, James Young, and Skylar Diggins.
Other high-profile athletes the agency represents are baseball players Robinson Cano, CC Sabathia, Yoenis Cespedes, and football players Ndamukong Suh, Dez Bryant, and Victor Cruz.
