A man whose music career spans across 20+ years and 13 studio albums, JAY-Z has earned his position as one of the most respected in the game. Still maintaining relevancy and seeing many of his peers’ careers come and go, JAY-Z is still reaping the benefits of his labor.
Being one of the most beloved studio LPs and an undeniable classic among the majority, JAY-Z’s The Blueprint album is set to receive a huge honor. As reported by CBS News, the Hip-Hop icon, along with Cyndi Lauper, Cab Calloway, and more will have his The Blueprint album added to the Library of Congress. With the body of work “have been recognized as vital to our nation’s audio legacy,” this for sure would come as a huge honor for any artist. With The Blueprint album being nearly 18 years old, the album continues to connect with listeners all these years later.
Still, a force to be reckoned with, this news comes on the heel of JAY-Z being officially announced to headline the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Festival in New York this Summer. Even during his off-season, JAY-Z’s wins don’t stop.
Congratulations to JAY-Z!
