The build up to the battle of the boroughs had been on-going for months, so not long after the final buzzer had sounded at the Barclays Center and the Nets the victorious borough, minority owner Jay Z fired the first shots back at the Knicks.
Just minutes after leaving the game Jay, who doesn’t tweet often but when he does it always makes the headlines, posted a tweet claiming : “The city is under new management.”
The Nets are now 3-0 on the season when Jay is in attendance. A streak they’d like to continue.
