Hov and Kylie Jenner are neck and neck for the fifth spot.
On Tuesday, December 18, Forbes released their ‘America’s Wealthiest Celebrities 2018’ list. According to Forbes, America’s 10 wealthiest celebrities are worth an astonishing $18.7 billion combined.
“Forbes’ third annual ranking of the net worths of the famous boasted the biggest cumulative figure since we began tallying totals, up 4% from 2017’s $18 billion.”
Jay-Z ranks as number five on the list with $900 million under his belt. Forbes reports that Jay-Z is also the biggest dollar gainer on the list all thanks to having stakes in Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Ussé cognac; as well as holdings in Roc Nation and Tidal.
In addition to Hov to taking the number five spot, is Kylie Jenner. Making her debut on the list, Jenner also has a net worth of $900 million. The reality star received a majority of her earnings from her makeup company Kylie Cosmetics, which she 100% owns.
Star Wars creator George Lucas nabs the number one spot as the wealthiest celebrity in America with a staggering $5.4 billion. A large portion came from his production company Lucasfilm, which was sold to Disney for $4.1 billion back in 2012.
