First thing’s first. ‘Same Ol’ Mistakes’ is one of my favorite songs ever, so it’s always great when one of your favorite records are remixed or covered. Belonging to Tame Impala, the tune was then covered on Rihanna’s 8th studio album, ANTI, and now Jay Verze has put his own spin on the tune. Representing strong for Maryland, Jay Verze has found himself working tirelessly over the past several months to not only build a following, but also create new records and remixes that showcase his skill. Proving that the grind doesn’t stop, Jay doesn’t spare any punches on the remix that plays the host of a more subdued approach along with tenacious rhymes and skill. Not alone, the Maryland love doesn’t stop as Dunson tags along and adds an extra spark to an already shining track. The perfect match, the duo not only captured the essence of the original tune, but effortlessly made it their own.
