The Houston Rockets have been eliminated from the NBA Playoffs after losing in 5 games to the Golden State Warriors in the 1st round of the Playoffs. The Rockets faced a 3-1 deficit heading into Wednesday’s game against the defending champion Warriors team, but Jason Terry wanted to give a boost of confidence to his team.
Before the game, Jason Terry guaranteed a victory for the chemistry lacking bunch that is the Houston Rockets. He ended up scoreless adding 4 rebounds and 2 assists to his stat line total. Despite his not-so-successful game 5 performance, Terry was the back-up point guard after the Rockets decided they were done with Ty Lawson. Terry finished off averaging 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists per 36 minutes (Via Basketball Reference) for the Rockets today. The Rockets will be happy to hear that their confident back up will be returning next year.
According to Calvin Watkins, Beat Writer for the Houston Rockets:
Jason Terry said 100 percent he expects to play next year.

Terry is the least of the Rockets offseason worries. Dwight Howard and James Harden seem to hate each other, and as a free agent, Dwight will probably end up leaving. Which means the Rockets will have a lot of cap room to fill up and sign a max player. Could Kevin Durant be possibly making a move to Houston?
