According to the NY Post, Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has made it very clear that he isn’t too optimistic on his return to the Big Blue next season.
“Hey, it is what it is. If I’m here, I’m here. If I’m not, I’m not.”
Considering the Giants record stands at 3-6, the season isn’t looking bright for him and the fans. The possibility of Pierre-Paul becoming a unrestricted free agent in 2015 is high and judging by the remarks, testing his market value is evident.
“We’ve got to wait and see. I’ve been here for five years now, and there have been ups and downs. I love it here, but we’ve got to wait and see at the end of the season.”
Pierre-Paul is making $4.61 million in the final year of his five-year, $16 million rookie contract. At 25-years-old, it makes sense to make that money on a potentially better team, or worst case scenario: he comes out with a lot dollars on a losing squad.
