The Seattle Seahawks and kicker Jason Myers have agreed on a four-year extension worth $21.1 million. This contract also includes incentives that can max his contract out at $22.6 million. With this new deal, Myers is now the second-highest-paid kicker in the NFL behind the Baltimore Raven’s kicker Justin Tucker. His deal was set to expire in March and now he is tied with the franchise through the 2026 NFL season. Myers, 31, had another great season with the team and has been rewarded for his effort with another Pro Bowl appearance and this contract extension.

This season with the Seattle Seahawks, Jason Myers made 34 of his 37 field goal attempts and 41 of his 42 extra point attempts. Myers also went six for six from 50 yards and beyond. This season will be the second Pro Bowl appearance in his career. The Seahawks made the NFL Playoffs this year despite the low expectations in part because of their phenomenal kicker. The next four seasons are in good hands for the team.

Head Coach Pete Carroll said the following about Jason Myers and the season he had: “He had another great season. It’s unfortunate that he donked one (in Week 18). It might distract you from it. But he came right back and kicked it. Look at the kick at the end of the half. What a great play that was for a kicker. He had a terrific year. He wants to be here. We want him to be here, so we have to figure it out somehow.”
