Aquaman has not even hit theaters yet, but Jason Momoa already has his post-film plan in motion. The former Game of Thrones star will appear in the new Apple series, See. Joining the likes of Apple produced content like Amazing Stories and Home, See is described as an epic, world-altering drama. Within the series, Momoa will play the lead character, Baba Voss, a heoric leader and guardian of his community.
While an in depth description of the series cast and plot is yet to be released, See is set to be written by Oscar nominee, Steven Knight, and directed by Francis Lawrence of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Knight and Lawrence will also executive produce the project alongside Chernin Entertainment’s Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.
The signing of Momoa marks the latest in Apple‘s long line of recent high profile content deals. Over the past year, the tech giant has signed deals with Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Steven Spielberg, Ronald D. Moore and many others. However, there is no release date yet scheduled for the eight episode series. We’ll update you as more details are released from Apple.
In the meantime, Momoa will prepare for the release of Aquaman at the end of the year.
