Jason Kidd has spurned the Mavericks offer of three-years and $9 million and will now bring his 39-year old self to the light of Broadway and join the Knicks. Kidd will sign a similar deal with New York and he says he was swayed by the prospect of joining the Knicks to help mentor Jeremy Lin.
Kidd can’t officially sign a contract with the Knicks until July 11.
“I think I can help,” Kidd said, adding that he felt the Knicks have more “pieces to work with.”
