Jason Kidd On James Harden As MVP: “He’s One Of The Best In The World”
James Harden, whether you like him, understand him, are a fan of him or not, is set up to be the prime two-guard of his era. Those are big words, but the trajectory says no different. Harden has led the league in scoring for a smooth two months since taking the realms from Kobe, and he’s rightfully at the crux of this season’s MVP conversation.
Harden dropped 33 on the Milwaukee Bucks for a 117-111 win on Friday night. Bucks head coach Jason Kidd talked about Harden as a potential MVP and more:
From Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle:
“He’s one of the best players in the world,” Kidd said Friday, when Harden dropped 33 points on his Bucks to lead the Rockets to their sixth WIN
in seven games. “He puts a lot of pressure on your defense. He has great hands. He can score from beyond the arc right when he crosses half court. He can get to the basket and he lives at that free-throw line. You know it’s coming. It’s just hard to stop.”
“Give (Harden) CREDIT
, because he has worked at his craft at a very high level, and he deserves the recognition,” Kidd said.
Harden is averaging over 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. The Rockets have been without Dwight Howard for 18 games but have gone 13-5 in that stretch mainly because of Harden’s dominance.
With Harden solidifying himself as one of the best in the game, he then becomes valid as one of the best in the world. He’s absolutely beginning to fully measure up to those standards.
