Today, Jason Kidd is best-known for being the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. He was once, however, one of the best point guards in the NBA, and is still considered one of the 10 or so best point guards to ever play. Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball has received some generous comparisons to Kidd in the early goings of his career. Kidd, on First Take, said that he’s not so sure about those comparisons:

“It’s still early in his career and it’s a stretch. He has to understand what it means to play hard and what it means to win, and how to win at the highest level. It takes time, and hopefully in three years, maybe there is a better comparison. But right now, it is a stretch and he has a ways to go.”
In 19 NBA seasons, Kidd compiled career per-game averages of 12.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.9 steals. His career accolades include a championship, six All-NBA selections, 10 All-Star selections, nine All-Defensive selections and five assist crowns.
Over the course of his career, Kidd dished out 12,091 assists, second only to John Stockton. Kidd is also eighth on the all-time 3-pointers list with 1,988.
