Kenyon Martin and Jason Kidd back together again!
Well…not how they were once were, but now it’s a little different.
The Bucks, currently facing a few issues with their frontline, look to add some frontcourt depth and this time it’s in the form of 37 year old Kenyon Martin, who played in the NBA last season with the New York Knicks.
More from ESPN.com’s Marc Stein:
The Milwaukee Bucks are signing former All-Star power forward Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract, according to league sources.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Bucks have committed to add Martin to their roster this week, perhaps as early as Thursday, after letting a player go to open up a spot.
The move will reunite Martin with Bucks first-year coach Jason Kidd after they teamed up together in New Jersey — with both on the floor — to lead the Nets ?to consecutive trips to the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003.
Players can sign two 10-day contracts before a team must commit to either sign them for the rest of the season or let them go.
Kenyon Martin played 32 games for the Knicks last season, averaging 4.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 19.8 minutes per game. Not crazy insane numbers but it sure will address some depth issues with the team and it’ll sure be fun to watch Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin rejoin forces in Milwaukee.
