Casey called Patterson the leading candidate to start in place of Sullinger but still deciding between him & Siakam, could go "back & forth"

10/23/2016:
Jared Sullinger was likely to start at the power forward position for the Toronto Raptors. Now, Sullinger won’t be starting or playing at all for some time:

In Sullinger’s absence, stretch-four Patrick Patterson will presumably be the starter. Sullinger’s vacancy could potentially give rookie Pascal Siakam — who impressed in preseason — an opportunity to shine. The Raptors somewhat filled the hole left by Bismack Biyombo by gaining Sullinger’s rebounding abilities. That rebounding is what the team will miss most while Sullinger is out.
Sullinger, who has always struggled to maintain his weight, had shed around 40 pounds since last season and appeared ready to have a great year. To put it bluntly: this sucks.
