One of the top cornerbacks on the free agent market has elected to sign before the league year officially starts. Former St.Louis (now Los Angeles) Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been touted as one of the best man to man coverage corners in the game and he’s quite possibly the best available corner on the market.
The Giants have a hole to fill as they let Prince Amukamara explore free agency and they will be replacing him with a top flight playmaker in Janoris Jenkins.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports Jenkins deal could be pretty pricey.
When Janoris Jenkins signs with the #Giants, it'll be worth more than $12M per year. Huge investment.

The 27-year-old former second-round pick had three interceptions last season and 15 passes defensed. In his four seasons with the Rams, Jenkins proved to be one of the league’s best playmaking defensive backs as he scored six touchdowns, which is the most of any defensive player in the NFL in that time. Jenkins can also provide relief in the return game and paired up Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, the Giants could have one of the most physical secondaries in the NFL.
