For the second time in a week, James Harden posted a triple-double against the San Antonio Spurs. On Wednesday night, Harden put up the trip-dub on the road in San Antonio and led the Houston Rockets to a win over the Spurs. On Saturday night, the result was a little different but the output from Harden was similar.
James scored 25 points, handed out 13 assists and grabbed 11 rebounds but also turned the ball over seven times. Although Harden had a wild output, his team came up short, losing to the Spurs 106-100. Check out the highlights from the self-proclaimed ‘best player in the NBA’ below.
If James Harden continues on this roll he’s on for a good majority of the season, the MVP award could be his to lose. That’s the only thing James could stand to lose. If he continues to get less than optimal production from his counterparts, the Rockets might be fighting for the playoffs. It’s no secret that Harden can ball and distribute in Mike D’Antoni’s offense but what is happening around him? If the Rockets want to be taken seriously, he needs his supporting cast to step up especially against top-flight teams like San Antonio.
