The month of December, was full of memories and great performances in the NBA. Two players stood out, out of all the NBA players, James Harden and Kyle Lowry. Today, the NBA released the Western Conference and Eastern Conference Players of the Month Awards, which went to James Harden of the Houston Rockets and Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors, Respectively. Kyle Lowry averaged 22 points, 5 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 2.3 steals to lead the Raptors to just 4 losses in December. James Harden averaged 27 points, 5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals and almost 4 3 pointers a game.
Kyle Lowry is the first player to achieve this award for the Toronto Raptors, since Chris Bosh received it when he played for Toronto over 5 years ago. James Harden is also the first Houston Rocket to lead the NBA in scoring, while also winning the award. Both players should be proud of the accolade, they worked hard for their teams to be in the positions they are now. Kyle Lowry has had to deal with the absence of DeMar DeRozan, while James Harden had to miss Dwight Howard for some of the games in December.
