Matt Barnes is certainly the enforcer for the Los Angeles Clippers, the tattooed goon so to speak. He has had his fair share of fines, he’s trash talked, he’s been in fights, he’s done it all and is a first ballot in the “Goon Hall Of Fame”.
But no matter who you are, there is one thing that you just do not do. You never cuss out another players’ mother. And he crossed that line when he went off on James Harden’s mother.
Harden has spoken on the issue, calling it “Disrespectful”.
“In any situation you talk about somebody’s parents that’s just disrespectful,”Harden said. “But I’m focused on Game 3. We’re very focused. We’re locked in. There’s going to be some great intensity.
“I’m not really focused on that. I’m focused on Game 3. Hopefully, we go out and compete and get a victory on the road.”
Now as we know Houston lost that game 3 thanks to Austin Rivers and JJ Redick putting on a clinic.
In the post by the Houston Chronicle, Barnes actually said that he didn’t realize that it was Harden’s mother. But my question is, why are you cussing at anybody in the crowd!? And isn’t it Mothers Day this weekend? Harden got it right. Disrespectful.
