The Rockets beat the Utah Jazz on Thursday, but not after some questionable passes by James Harden and Jason Terry. During the course of the game, both players threw passes to literally nobody. They just threw the ball out of bounds.
Jason Terry’s decision to throw the ball out of bounds was reasonable because he had a teammate standing in the corner, but he was not in play. He probably just saw the red jersey and swung it over there.
As for Harden’s pass? Well, he also had a teammate in the area a few seconds before he threw the ball. He picked up his dribble, looked around, saw nobody, so he just threw the ball to no one. It was a comedy show for the Rockets passing game tonight.
